My values
I acknowledge that I live on colonized land (Treaty 1 territory, the homeland of Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree and Métis peoples)
I understand that I am extremely privileged in a system that oppresses many BIPOC. White supremacy and similar systems must be addressed and dismantled (healthcare inequality, police, wage gaps, mass incarcerations, etc.)
I believe that health and beauty are not identified by one body shape, size, or weight. I believe everyone should be able to feel beautiful and confident in their body, and that the media needs more body and size diversity.
I believe that Love is Love.
A world with more love in it is a world with more acceptance and affirmation for all gender identities, gender expressions, and orientations. We deserve to have more love, and the world is a better place when we do.
I believe in the science that shows climate change will have, and already has had, devastating effects on the environment.
I believe in being a conscious consumer - but I also believe that we must demand our governments and major corporations to do better.
